I just ran inside from the freezing cold, into our “Chalet” which is nestled into the mountains of SilverThorne, Colorado. Nearly a month ago, I sat down after watching a show called “The Buried Life”, and was inspired to write my list of 101 Things I want to do before I die. I had jotted down about 30 things on my list, of which #25 was snowboarding. Although I envisioned this one day becoming a reality, never did I imagine that within the first 24 hours, I would receive a call, inviting me to join my Powerful Internet Marketing Leaders of MLSP to this years Leadership Mastermind Meeting!

Two years ago, when I first started surfing the internet to find a way to work from home, never did I imagine how things would unfold where I would become partners with people from all over the World who are generating a great income working from home. Between my primary business and my internet marketing family, I am truly honored to be in the presence of such Masterminds, who are on top of the cutting edge of Social Media and all things Internet Marketing.

Our trip to “Todd’s Chalet” (One of the Creators of MLSP) is an award that we have won by being leaders in this power Internet Marketing System. I officially became an L4, which is one of the highest ranking positions with MLSP, around December. With that, they have rolled out the red carpet, taking us dining in the finest restaurants, teaching us rookies how to snowmobile and dog sled amongst tons of other things….while being in great company with leaders who “Run The Internet”!

I’m so excited about this trip and over the next couple of days, I will be journaling my experience with you so you can push hard to make it to the top of your company or whatever goals you are pursuing. Although the road can get tough for us all, it is so important to push forward and keep your vision before you. If you have no clue what your vision is, now’s the time to start your own list of “101 Things I Want To Do Before I Die”……..you never know who could be calling you to help you scratch your “things” off the list! My goal is to scratch at least 5 of them off every year and for the first quarter of the year….I can officially scratch off my first one:

If you’ve been signed up for a million social media sites and are now asking yourself, “how in the heck is this going to make me some money?” then you definitely need to watch this:

Every day, thousands of hungry job searchers are discovering the lucrative world of Internet Marketing. With a desperate need to make money, they immediately jump at the opportunity to purchase products for $99, $197, or in some cases $999 with the hope that this “magical payment” would be the answer to their financial worries.

After many attempts to see the results, many ultimately get discouraged and feel duped because they’re “magical payment” didn’t lead them to millionaire status. If this has been your story, I’m here to tell you that internet marketing does work. What many don’t get is that “Niche Marketing” is the secret weapon to success.

Niche Marketing is defined as the process of finding and serving profitable market segments and designing custom-made products or services for them.  The goal is to provide an answer to a group of people who are searching for a solution to their problem on the internet.

One of the biggest misconceptions of Internet Marketing is that “anybody can make money online”. This is a half truth that I will explain.  Anyone can make money in this industry IF AND ONLY IF they have something of value to provide to a Target Market of people that want what they have, and are willing to pay for it.

The first most important aspect of Niche Marketing is knowing what people want. You can think that once you come up with something, people will be waiting in line for it. Instead, do research to find out if the demand is there. If it is, go for the gusto!

Secondly, make sure that there are “many” buyers that want what you have. The smaller the audience, the lower your possiblities of making some real money int his niche. You want to be involved in something where there is a high need.  One recommendation is checking google adwords keyword search tool to see if the keyword for your industry has a high number of hits. If it does, then you know your on to something. Keep a list of the related keywords to make sure you use in yoru marketing strategy.

Thirdly, you want to have some form of lead capture page that will allow you to collect information from the visitors so that you can keep up with them over a period of time.

Fourth, you want to start promoting your website by writing articles, doing videos and social bookmarking to drive traffic. Once you start generating a list and building a good amount of traffic, you can start focusing on the fifth and final element of Niche Marketing:

Fifth, is to MONETIZE. This simply allows you to start generating an income from those that are visiting your site. This is the rewrding part of Niche Marketing and you will discover the joy of all yoru hard work if you properly follow in these footsteps!

The results for January 09 layoffs were released this morning with alarming numbers. For the first time since 1974, we have reached an unemployment rate of 7.6% with over 598,000 people getting laid off in the month of January.  People are in a panic, businesses are standing paralyzed, afraid to make any moves, and the world is watching to see the Armageddon approach any day now.

The challenge with all of this panic and news is that everyone stops pursuing any other alternatives of survival, convinced that we have run out of options.  The reality is that whether people are working or not, they still need to eat, a place to stay and a way to supply the mental and physical needs of their families.  And if everyone gives up, we become the walking dead!

It is so important to take note that there are Millionaires being made right here, right now. People are taking advantage of opportunities that would not exist in a healthy economy.  We must realize that this too shall pass and “We will survive this Recession!”

Now is the time to get creative and think about what industries are thriving in a down economy.  One of the most favorable industries that are experiencing an unbelievable level of growth is “Internet Marketing”.  My specialty is in this industry and I read up on the latest trends like a Wall Street Broker reads the Wall Street Journal.  It is my job to know what trends are in and which ones are being phased out.

According to Entrepreneur.com, The Top 3 Trends to Watch are:

1.       Business Coaching

2.       Social Networking for Business

3.       Alternative Fuels

Of the top 3, #1 & #2 are both Industries that are Internet Based Businesses.  Now you might be wondering how Business Coaching can be internet based, so let me explain how.

Due to the changes of the economy, businesses are forced to cut down on overhead and find a way to make more money and generate more profits.  Because marketing and advertising often takes about 25% of the company’s budget, aside from eliminating employees, the marketing and advertising budget is the first to go.  

To find a strategic way to market with a smaller budget and retain more customers, guess where companies are turning??? That’s right; you guessed it, the Internet.  And in order for them to be guided properly on how to develop their businesses online, guess who their calling??? Yep, you got it again…Business Coaches!

Now take a guess on where the Business Coaches are guiding their clients…….Wow, you’re so smart….Yep, to Social Networking. Why??? Because that’s where their customers are hanging out every day all day…

From the initial sound of it, most people may immediately think of some kind of disease or infection.
