Considering that I love to write, I decided to do so, with the intent to make blogging one of my primary marketing activities in addition to the other sources of Social Media Marketing. </p>
<p>As time passed by and the ability to maintain the blog began to overwhelm me, I found myself growing distant of the one thing that keeps readers coming back for more&#8230;..which was blogging about my knowledge and insight on things I learn along the way throughout this Online Marketing Journey. After endless pursuits to find the right person to enhance and design my blog, I finally understood fully, the words that I heard recently spoken at a More Heart Than Talent Seminar in Dallas, TX.<br />

&#8220;You don&#8217;t have to get it right to get started, You just have to get started and you can always get it right!&#8221;</strong><em><span id="more-352"></span></p>
<p>What I&#8217;ve come to realize is that it doesn&#8217;t take perfection to build a brand online. You don&#8217;t have to have the most beautiful website or the best edited videos in order to release them online. The key to internet marketing is the &#8220;content&#8221; and &#8220;value&#8221; that you share with others along the way. What viewers are seeking is to learn more about the resources and steps that we&#8217;ve taken to build our brand online and generate leads that convert to sales or business partners who are serious about following in our footsteps. </p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve been trying to perfect everything before you get started on your journey in this industry, I want to discourage you from pursuing &#8220;perfection&#8221;. Yes, image does matter, but on the internet&#8230;.content is way more important than image. </p>
<p>If you truly desire to establish an online following, setting up a blog&#8230;any blog for that matter can help dramatically. But know that you can always come back and tweak your blog and enhance it. At this point, the goal is to get your blog entries in the search engines where people can find you and desire to follow you because they are learning something from you. </p>
<p>I want to close with saying this&#8230;&#8230; In order to become an effective Internet Marketer, the goal is to get your name in the search engines where people find you through the <strong>information that you share that can be a solution to their problems.</strong> The best way to avoid delaying an opportunity until all the stars align in the internet marketing world&#8230;.you just simply have to take action and get started and make improvements along the way.</p>

Last night I hosted a webinar on one of the most important aspects of Internet Marketing&#8230;..Branding!! When I look at the various social media and video marketing sites, I see tons of people trying to push a product without any understanding of how to truly attract the right people to them to make the sale.  The truth is that the majority of us start off this way, but eventually, we must re-evaluate where we are, where we want to go and what it&#8217;s going to take to get there.</p>
<p>The cycle of Internet Marketing begins with Branding because it establishes the focus of who you are, what you have to offer and those who want your products or information. As great as this step is, it&#8217;s often overlooked when starting to market online.</p>
<p>To learn how to properly brand and market yourself online,  here are 5 steps that were shared in an article posted on www.brand-yourself.com that you must take to start off on the right path!<br />

“Personal Branding links your passions, key personal attributes, and strengths with your value proposition, in a crystal clear message that differentiates your unique promise of value from your peers and resonates with your target audience.</p>
<p>Uncovering and pulling together all of the following components will arm you with a compelling personal brand message to anchor and weave throughout all your online and offline career marketing communications:<br />
<strong><br />
<em>1. What is your vision and your purpose?</em></strong><</p>
<p>Before clearly defining your brand, look externally at the bigger picture of your vision for the world, and then internally, at how you might help the world realize your vision.</p>
<p><strong><em>2. What are your values and passions?</em></strong></p>
<p>You have to know yourself and what you want and need before you can move forward. Your belief system and operating principles are at the core of determining whether an opportunity in front of you will be a good fit for you. If the passions that drive you aren’t met, you probably won’t be happy.</p>
<p><em><strong>3. What are your top goals for the next year, 2 years, and 5 years?</strong></em></p>
<p>Work on projecting what you intend to accomplish so you can put together a strategic action plan to get there.<br />

<strong>4. Do a self-assessment of your top brand attributes.</strong></em></p>
<p>What 3 or 4 adjectives best describe the value you offer? What words do you use to define your personality? Here are some possibilities, but don’t limit yourself to these:</p>
<p>Collaborative, resourceful, flexible, forward-thinking, risk-taking, connected, visionary, diplomatic, intuitive, precise, enterprising, ethical, genuine, accessible.</p>
<p><em><strong>5. What are your core strengths or motivated skills?</strong></em></p>
<p>In what functions and responsibilities do you excel? What things are you the designated “go-to” person for? What would your company have a hard time replacing if you left suddenly? The possibilities are endless, but here are a few suggestions:</p>
<p>Identifying problems, seeing the details, leading, delegating, performing analysis, fact finding, crunching numbers, anticipating risk, motivating, mentoring, innovating, managing conflict, writing, listening, communicating.&#8221;</p>
